Opening of the highest level for this third edition of Tolfa ShortFilmFestival, which will see the screening of
the film "Roma città aperta" directed by Roberto Rossellini, with Anna Magnani and Aldo Fabrizi;
The film premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 1946

,  obtained a Grand Prix for Best Picture,
also won two Silver Ribbons for the Best Director and Best Supporting Actress (Anna Magnani) and also got a
nomination for the Academy Award for best Original Screenplay.

This work, included in the list of 100 Italian films to be saved, that was born with the aim to report "100 films
that have changed the country's collective memory among the 1942 and 1978",will be presented in collaboration with the Istituto Luce, which this year celebrates 90 years of activity, and that wanted to grant for this important occasion the newly restored film.

The restoration of "Roma città aperta" is part of a wider project of restoration which includes 10 films of
Roberto Rossellini that the Istituto Luce has acquired the rights.

The restoration of Roma città aperta arrives so after that of La macchina ammazzacattivi, India, Viaggio in Italia,
Stromboli, L'amore. During the evening, will intervene some guests from the world of entertainment that will give their valuable contribution to the event.
Also provided for video contributions of actors and directors who have met the director, who will be devoted to a photo exhibition.
