PECIAL AWARD ITFF 2016 to NINO CELESTE, CINEMATOGRAPHER – Friday September 30, Th 21.00

ITFF Special Award 2016 to Nino Celeste for his acclaimed career as Cinematographer, extended in italian and worldwide cinema and television industry.

His activity contributed significantly numerous works by established directors as well as newcomers, which have found their success with audiences and critics.

 

 

 

NINO CELESTE.

Was born in Santa Croce di Magliano (Campobasso). Begin his career as assistant camera with Giulio Albonico and Pino Pinori. After three years become camera operator alongside with Giulio Albonico in " Diary of a Schizophrenic Girl" directed by Nelo Risi and awarded at Venice Film Festival. Worked with directors Pier Paolo Pasolini, Damiano Damiani, Carlo Lizzani, Lucio Fulci, Mario Bava, Roberto Faenza, Liliana Cavani, Umberto Lenzi, Alessandro Capone, Bruno Corbucci, Bisha Besnik, Saimir Kumbaro, Nelo Risi, Citto Maselli, Florestano Vancini, Giorgio Capitani, Sandro Bolchi, Castellano & Pipolo and Federico Moccia. He served as cinematographer for critical acclaimed series "La Piovra" directed by Damiano Damiani,Florestano Vancini, Luigi Perelli and starring Michele Placido also tv movie "Lenin - The Train" directed by Damiano Damiani. His television works includes: Sottocasa (200 episodes), Agrodolce (230 episodes), La Squadra (52 episodes) and Un posto al sole (500 episodes). Served also as cinematographer for Claudio Fragasso debut feature film "Difendimi dalla notte".

Nominated at David di Donatello for “Uomini sull’orlo di una crisi di nervi” directed by Alessandro Capone. He's Member of A.I.C. (Associazione Italiana Autori della Fotografia Cinematografica) .
