Closing of the Sixth Edition of Santa Marinella Short Film Festival

The sixth edition of the Santa Marinella Short Film Festival ended in the historic center of the city with the cultural association Santa Marinella Viva as leader organizer.

Three intense days of culture, cinema, fashion, dance, book launch and singing with a great acclaim from the audience.

LA NOTTE PRIMA directed by Anna Maria Liguori won as best short film at this edition. A film focused on metastatic breast cancer. Pfizer representative Paola Corti and actor Alessandro Bardani received the award.

The Critics Award was assigned to the short film BURNING RED directed by Fabrizio Ancillai. A film that deals with the theme of femicide with a game of crossed and parallel flashbacks. Producer Carlotta Bolognini and actress Francesca Della Ragione received the award.

The Audience Award was assigned to the short film film Pepitas directed by Alessandro Sampaolo. A story of a Drag Queen, who sent a thanksgiving video , because busy at film set.

Another interesting event was the live interview with actor Kaspar Capparoni curated by the film critic Rosario Tronnolone; the actor, who received an award for his versatility, spoke of the fundamental meeting with Giuseppe Patroni Griffi at the beginning of his career, of what it is the talent and need to refine and develop it through study, his love for dogs and his autobiographical book "Il Capobranco" and how the entertainment industry definitely changed over the last twenty years. The Mayor Pietro Tidei andmanaging director Maura Chegia personally delivered his Award. The Mayor expresses appreciation for the events in the square, as well as capturing a large audience that are productive for the commercial activities of the area.

Sonia Signoracci, organizer of the Festival, expresses satisfaction, highlighting how to create an effective container for a wide-ranging cultural and social audience, which includes the fundamental involvement of young people.

Piero Pacchiarotti, President of the ITFF, is confident that this event will grow more and more over time, involving more Municipalities. But above all with the consolidated collaboration with the Municipalities in the second year, because it is the solid basis for the success of important projects.

Ira Fronten, the godmother of the festival, rewarded for her humanitarian commitment, invites us to serious reflections and respect for those less fortunate.

The third evening focused on the cinema of S.Marinella saw the awarding of the short film Switch directed by Martina Vacca and Andrea Vella, at the presence of a wide range of students who were rewarded for the occasion by the Hon. Alessandro Battilocchio and by the Managing Director of the historic center Maura Chegia.

An edition of the Festival with extraordinary numbers that will continue with the next legs of the tour: July 18 in Allumiere, August 9 in Tolfa, August 29 in Cerveteri, September 21 and 22 at the Castello di S.Severa and from October 9 to 13 October in Civitavecchia for the final event with the official competition. An itinerant festival sponsored by the aforementioned Municipalities, the Region and the Swedish Embassy and supported by Enel by the BCC Credito Cooperativo of S. Marinella and by GI.MA Sicurezza di Santa Marinella.
