The film review of this second edition of the festival will be dedicated to the great German director Werner Hergoz.

Born in Monaco of Bavaria September 5, 1942, the famous director is also a screenwriter, film producer, writer and actor.

Visionary and eclectic, is one of the leading exponents of the "New German Cinema".
For him, the difference between fiction and documentary labilissima and talks about the film as "ecstatic truth".


He has produced, written and directed more than 50 films, he also published books and has been director of operas.

Among the awards stand the prize for Best Director at Cannes Film Festival 1982 for the film Fitzcarraldo with Klaus Kinski and Claudia Cardinale and the Grand Prix of the Jury at the Cannes Film Festival for The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser.

The festival of short films by Herzog, produced in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut in Rome will be presented by Massimiliano Fierro, co-director of the festival Cortopotere.

- La Soufriere (1977 - 30 ')
- Herakles (1962 - 9 ')
