The journalist Igor Righetti, cousin of italian acclaimed actor Alberto Sordi, wrote this unpublished book on private life of his illustrious relative on the occasion of the centenary of his birth that will make it possible to discover, for the first time, who was Sordi off the set and from official television appearances.

It also reveals the many lies told about him. The volume, unique for both the anecdotes and curiosities both for the exclusive photos from the family albums and from Reporters Associati & Archives, also presents the testimonies of some cousins of the actor: from his mother Maria Righetti and his father Pietro Sordi. There are also the unpublished memories of some of his friends, loves and characters from cinema and TV with whom he worked. Among these, Rino Barillari, Pippo Baudo, Patrizia de Blanck (with whom Sordi had a love story), Elena de Curtis (Totò's granddaughter), Sandra Milo, Sabrina Sammarini (Anna Longhi's daughter) and Rosanna Vaudetti. The book is enriched with the CD of the first song dedicated to Alberto Sordi, with music and lyrics by Igor Righetti and musiccomposer Samuele Socci. A pleasant volume also useful for new generations so that the historical memory of a great actor like Alberto Sordi is not lost and rediscovered again and again.

Igor Righetti is a professional journalist. He is a Professor of Journalism in Corporate Communication, Radio and TV Languages, Cross-media formats, Diction and Public Speaking and has been involved with numerous public and private Universities. He also specialises in mass media and has worked as an essayist, author and presenter for various radio and tv programs and shows. He has also worked as the press office director for the Istituto Poligrafico Zecca dello Stato and its affiliates, as well as the Italian branch of the Swedish multinational company, Ericsson. He was responsible for media liaison for Sony/Ericsson.
